UPCOMING TOUR WITH X AMBASSADORS

“A SXSW act you need to hear” - Buzzfeed

“If you need a pump-up [listen to] ‘Golden’ by Parade of Lights” - NYLON

“Danceable indie rock that draws influences from ’90s shoegaze bands, making alternative electro-anthems that might garner comparisons to Imagine Dragons, early MGMT, and M83.” - Interview

“Anthemic, swelling, dance-y goodness in the vein of MGMT and The Naked and Famous” - Style Etoile

“Undeniably catchy and coupled with a lethal combination of incisive synth alt-pop hooks” - Killing Moon

“We’re definitely feeling Parade of Lights“ - Under The Radar

“Epic” - HitFix

Combining equal parts rock, new wave, and shoegaze, Los Angeles alternative-electro quartet Parade of Lights blend 80′s influences with anthem-ready indie pop on its latest “Golden” EP, out today on Astralwerks.

The collection includes the buoyant, surging synth-pop lead single “We’re The Kids“, “Burn,” a raucous anthem that pairs surging guitars with a booming drum groove, “The Island,” which reveals the bands’ unique range of influences and is newly available for streaming, and title track “Golden.” Most recently featured in NBC’s Sochi Olympics TV campaign, the track is propulsive with layers of static-laced synth and a hook-heavy chorus. “If you need a pump-up [listen to] ‘Golden’ by Parade of Lights”says NYLON of the song.

Coming off a successful SXSW run earlier this month, where Buzzfeed proclaimed the band on of its “50 SXSW Acts You Need To Hear”, the band have little time to rest before heading back out on the road with  Brooklyn-based alt-indie quartet X Ambassadors. Parade of Light’s will support the band’s April 2014 tour, making its debut appearances in New York City at Bowery Ballroom, Schuba’s Tavern in Chicago, Milkboy in Philadelphia, and more. Nation, KROQ, KXTE, and many more. The band is comprised of Ryan Daly (lead vocals/guitar), Anthony Improgo (drums), Randy Schulte (bass/backing vocals) and Michelle Ashley (keys/backing vocals). Daly and Improgo, both formerly of the band POLUS, formed Parade Of Lights in 2010. Over the next two years the two friends and longtime musical collaborators focused on perfecting the band’s lineup and live show. The band spent 2010 and 2011 touring throughout Southern California, Utah and Nevada, and opening for artists such as Imagine Dragons and Fitz And The Tantrums. The band self-released the debut EP “Born to Live, Born to Love” in 2012, before signing to Astralwerks in 2013 with the single “We’re The Kids.” paradeoflightsmusic.com/
