Monitor Cases

Monitor cases are an essential purchase for those that wish to provide safety and peace of mind for their high-priced sound gear. I know so many different bands and performers that have been on a tour and have had their speakers, monitors, or other equipment destroyed beyond repair by careless drivers, accidents, or just from the wear and tear of the road. The cost of these cases is considerably less than if an individual had to purchase new (or even used) equipment. There are companies that provide this sort of protection, and I would strongly recommend purchasing cases for each piece of gear that a musician cares even a slight bit about. These types of cases are durable enough that they can be thrown around a venue, pitched into a van, and will keep the goods inside absolutely mint. The amount of different cases that packaging companies have available is absolutely astounding, and ensures that there is not a type of instrument or audio gear that is not protected in the same fashion.

With the resale value of good-quality equipment being fairly high, there is no reason why a performer or artist should not immediately search out these types of cases. For those that are looking to make a career out of their performances, ensuring that the value of their possessions stay high should be one of the first things that they do. I have a bass guitar at my apartment and would never want anything to happen to it; even though it is only worth about $100, I would search out a place to make me a protective case just as soon as I move again. How have protective cases helped you out in the past, and what changes would you make to them to make them any more safe?
