THE PIANO GUYS Release THEir NEW Music Video “HOME”

Utah’s favorite dads, The Piano Guys, release their latest self-made music video “Home,” from the 2012 American Idol winner Phillip Phillips.

This new video finds the band in their home state of Utah.  It was filmed in the town of Springdale near Zion National Park. Check it out here: youtu.be/aF-Z1A0ujlg.

“We love being on tour and meeting our fans!  However, as we travel along with our equipment, cellos and baggage one thing never gets checked away – we miss home. We miss our family. When we first heard ‘Home’ we couldn’t help but be emotionally drawn to it,” says Steven Sharp Nelson.

“We love to incorporate classical music snippets into our arrangements. The Largo theme from Dvorak’s ‘New World Symphony’ is one of the greatest classical “folk” melodies ever written. It was a natural fit because the melody is the sound of yearning for home,” says Jon Schmidt.

The Piano Guys started making music videos together for fun and their “hobby” turned into a worldwide phenomenon when their self-made YouTube videos amassed millions and millions of views (over 220 million to date). Signed to Sony Masterworks’ imprint label Portrait, The Piano Guys released their second album The Piano Guys 2 on May 7th, 2013.

The Piano Guys 2 features their unique take on music from Pachelbel to The Turtles to Bruno Mars. Also available is the Deluxe version which includes the CD plus the 11 corresponding music videos – available for the first time on DVD! The album is comprised of imaginative mash-ups and arrangements that made their last album so successful, plus a few original recordings including the previously unreleased song “Berlin” as well as “Waterfall,” creating an incomparable style that appeals to audiences from all walks of life and across generations.
