King Niko has shared stages with 30 Seconds To Mars, Neon Trees, and many of the biggest acts in America. They’ve toured the Western US, played on dozens of radio and television broadcasts and have been in rotation on radio stations across the country. What they haven’t done is release a full length album, until now.
First assembled in 2009, King Niko have produced two EPs and four singles, but their March 16th release will be the band’s first full length project. ”We just keep coming up with songs and wanting to get them out there right away,” says King Niko singer Ransom Wydner, “we’re always so impatient. This time, it feels great to get something more substantial done.” The successful Salt Lake based quintet says they know that the album is short, at 8 tracks, but they wouldn’t change a thing about it. ”Eight tracks may seem short for a full-length, sure, but we had a theme we were going for and these songs fit it perfectly.” Wydner also points out that fellow Utahans Neon Trees have done alright with shorter releases, “Neon Trees’ first major label release ‘Habits’ is eight tracks and it’s a platinum hit!”
