Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is one of the most visible and well known attractions on Lake Erie in Cleveland, Ohio. The Hall of Fame is jam-packed with ephemera from the last century of popular music. While rock musicians are given the lion’s share of attention at the museum, there are antiques, costumes, instruments and a bevy of other items from gospel, rap, and EDM artists. What results with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is an attraction that will take a number of hours to complete.

There are installations at the Hall of Fame that look to delve deeper into specific musicians and scenes. For example there is a wall that only focuses on the contributions that were made by northeast Ohio artists. During our visit to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame there was an installation of photographs capturing the early hip hop performers in the New York city area.

For those that wish to see some of the rarest pieces of rock and roll history, the Museum has sections devoted to Elvis, the Beatles, and the Rolling Stones. There are a variety of different attractions that are presence in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Those attending can listen to music from these artists, watch a wide variety of documentaries, and even see the evolution of soundboards, radios and other devices related to the creation of rock music. At the time of our visit the highest level of the Museum was dedicated to providing attendees with an accurate depiction of a festival experience.

 

If you find yourself in the Cleveland area tickets for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are around $25 for adults, $20 for seniors 65 years of age and above and about $16 for children from the ages of nine to twelve. Parking is ample and the museum is open from 10 AM to 5:30 PM.
