Starry Eyes Blu-Ray

The visual quality of Starry Eyes is crystal clear with nice separation between the foreground/background elements.; The colors are realistic while still extending nicely from the screen, while a similarly crisp audio ensures that every line and noise from the film can be heard. Starry Eyes is a horror film that looks to expand what the style is capable of; Sarah begins the film trapped in a dead-end job. The Silver Scream’s casting call is attended by Sarah, and she is able to quit her job and be considered for the next meeting. Sarah’s overall well being starts to slide and she is forced to make a decision that will impact not only her life, but the lives of those that she has been the closest with. The film blends newcomers like Natalie Castillo, Alexandra Essoe, and Louis Dezseran alongside more veteran actors like Amanda Fuller (Last Man Standing), Noah Segan (Looper, Brick), and Shane Coffey (The Secret Life of the American Teenager).118983_large

MPI has stuffed this release full with additional features. The original theatrical trailer is present, alongside a bevy (10) of deleted scenes, a music video by Jonathan Snipes, the original application video by Alex Essoe, and a commentary that lays down a considerable amount of additional information and context for the events that occur on screen. Taken with the feature presentation, the Blu-Ray edition of Starry Eyes is a hell of a value.

The street date for Starry Eyes is February 3rd. Make sure to purchase a copy of the film from any well-stocked physical retailer or from a large collection of online storefronts. The MPI website contains a great deal of information about the company’s slate of films and releases that are still coning down the pipeline.
