J. Gray Featuring Sadat X – DMT Flows

The rapid-fire flow of J. Gray links together Krayzie Bone, Notorious BIG, and R.A. The Rugged Man into something new and wholly exciting. The track is able to refresh the horrorcore sound of the mid-nineties and make it into something wholly engrossing for the current period.

The usage of open spaces during this track make for a greater intensity for the flow; the scratching and sampling here create a track that will resound loudly with listeners long after the cut has ceased. The dynamic that exists between J. Gray and Sadat X seems as if the duo have worked together for years. DMT Flows is a rare example of a track that will have the deepest hip hop heads nod their heads while being catchy enough to deserve play on rap radio stations.

The production of DMT Flows possesses enough in the way of flash and flair to keep individuals interesting from beginning to end but without taking the focus of the track away from the flows.

I feel that the continually shifting tempo of the track is one of its strongest elements; fans will be sitting on the corners of their seats unsure of where exactly J. Gray and Sadat X will take them in the next few minutes. DMT Flows is a trip in itself, and showcases a presence of mind for J. Gray that few artists possess – the track actually reflects its title and creates a whole world in which listeners will be able to lose themselves.
