After several years of touring and releasing albums as members of the Swedish Modern Metal act One Without and having supported such acts as Dead By April, Katatonia and Evergrey, WATC’s core members Kenny and Cat know exactly how to draw on experiences both on an off the road.

When asked about the new album, Cat Fey, Lead Singer of the band said ‘”Monuments” summarises the last few years of our lives, a journey that has taken us through many phases, from self-doubt and uncertainty to empowerment and determination.”

“From struggling with deep depression, the continuous fight for air in the music industry, leaving our former band and watching the world grow darker around us every day, to the joy of raising a child, turning our backs on the norms of society, finding light in the dark, and becoming more inspired and creative than ever before.” the enigmatic vocalist adds.

Much as it´s amazing cover art by Gustavo Sazes (www.abstrata.net – Arch Enemy, Amaranthe, Kamelot, Sonic Syndicate amongst others), “Monuments” has an ominous sound to it, paired with an unmistakeable sense of hope. It’s an album with a definite message.

When asked for his feeling about the latest offering from WATC, Kenny Boufadene, Guitarist and co-vocalist from the band said “Monuments” is about personal change, questioning norms, finding your way back from the darkest holes, and coming a bit closer to living the way you want to live, and not the way you´re supposed to live.”

We Are The Catalyst are also excited to announce they will be signing a deal with Chris Bianchi of Mercenary Management and CB Entertainment with more details to follow later this month.

The new album is available to pre-order from watcofficial.bandcamp.com  and a preview is available at www.youtube.com/watch?v=0y4dMihjkRk

The band plan to tour extensively later this and early next year in support of the new album.
