Citizen Way Unlocks Debut Album to High Embrace

The verdict is in – Love is the Evidence is declared an “infectious pop-rock project” and critics proclaim, “Citizen Way is Spiritually Stirring.” Such adoration only reflects a snippet of the buzz building for this debut project from new act Citizen Way, comprised of two sets of siblings – Ben and Josh Calhoun and Ben and David Blascoe. Love is the Evidence is available today, April 23.

The album was produced by industry veteran Seth Mosley (Hawk Nelson, Audio Adrenaline) and band members Josh and Ben Calhoun wrote or co-wrote every track on the release. Love is the Evidence includes their Top 5 Billboard Christian AC hit, “Should’ve Been Me” as well as their current single, “Nothing Ever (Could Separate Us). “Nothing Ever (Could Separate Us)” is now impacting radio, earning airplay at K-Love, KLTY/Dallas, KSBJ/Houston, This Fish/Cleveland and Sirius/XM, among others. Among their glowing accolades, “Should’ve Been Me” made an impressive entrance as the highest charting debut single from a new artist released in 2012.

Thursday, April 25, the four-piece band will be the featured guest on Moody Radio’s nationally syndicated show, “Midday Connection” as they join show host Anita Lustrea in the studio to talk and perform songs from the new album. The program airs at Noon CST on MBN. Check your local listings or visit www.middayconnection.org for more information.

Citizen Way encouraged fans to #UnlocktheEvidence this past month with exclusive download tracks and streams through media partners. Fans took to social media to share the music in anticipation for the debut release. Adding to their excitement, praises continue to pour in on Love is the Evidence:

“The opening songs are all among the best songs I’ve heard on any album in the past few years…this is the best new band I’ve heard since Tenth Avenue North.”

– New Release Tuesday

“[Citizen Way] knows how to deliver a well written, spiritually stirring song. Altogether, here’s evidence that Citizen Way is a band worth watching.”

“Rarely does a debut album show so much promise. Citizen Way are modern and relevant sounding, with stunning moments of brilliant inspiration.”

– Louder Than The Music

“[Citizen Way] have already seen some radio time with ‘Should’ve Been Me,’ but I highly doubt it will be the last we hear of them on radio.”

– Christian Music Zine

Citizen Way is currently on their first national tour with multi-award winning group Big Daddy Weave and MIKESCHAIR as part of ‘The Redeemed Tour.’
