Smirnoff Sorbet Light

One of the most major problems that is present with a number of plain spirits is that the mixes are pretty high calorie. This is compounded by the calorie content that the spirits themselves has. What Smirnoff has done with these vodkas is reduce the calorie content and present imbibers with three delectable flavors. What results is a spirit that will not hit your budget or waist, and represents a change in the thought that major spirits companies have towards their products. At only 75% of the calorie content of similarly-flavored efforts, there is no reason why a calorie-conscious individual should not search out a few bottles.

The Sorbet Light line comes in SMIRNOFF Sorbet Light Raspberry Pomegranate, SMIRNOFF Sorbet Light Mango Passion Fruit and SMIRNOFF Sorbet Light Lemon. The flavors of each stand in bold opposition; one will not be confused when they drink Mango Passion Fruit or Light Lemon. I believe that the vodkas themselves would be a perfect substitution for plain vodka in a screwdriver or Long Island Iced Tea.

The vodkas can be purchased at any location that sells alcohol. I am confident that bars will start to purchase the Sorbet Light line for use in their own drinks shortly (if they have not yet).  If the sales of these initial efforts are strong enough, chances are good that Smirnoff will continue to add to this line. Tell us what you think about the Sorbet Line and what changes (if any) you would make. I feel that Smirnoff could easily add chocolate or cream-flavored vodkas to their line and continue the same high quality that separates the Sorbet Light line from the rest of the bottles on the shelf.
