Plastic Yellow Band Breathe Air CD Review

Lonely Place begins Breathe Air in a very emotional and touching way. This effort has hints of Elton John and Styx, even as a darker and more rock-oriented style bubbles beneath the Broadway façade. The track gradually picks up steam and ensures that anyone focusing in to this introductory effort will be glued to the edges of their seats.

She’s My Woman comes forth with tremendous guitar work that looks back to the halcyon days of Southern rock while linking that style with psychedelic and progressive styles. The production of this track allows the song to have a very close and intimate feel even as the guitar and drums achieve a bestial sound. I Want To Feel Your Love is a track that will remind listeners of Fleetwood Mac and The Carpenters, even as Plastic Yellow Band spin this into an intense tale of love. With this track taking up the same space as Don Henley and Stevie Nicks’ Leather and Lace, Breathe Air is able to have something for any fan of classic rock.

Sunlight I-III is an epic composition that concludes Breathe Air. Each of the three parts speaks with a decidedly different voice, while the Plastic Yellow Band is able to showcase their musical virtuosity. The tracks may each run for about 6 minutes, but each bit of Sunlight resounds long after the track ceases. Taken together, the effort will have listeners transported into a soundscape  Breathe Air can be purchased from the Plastic Yellow Band’s CDBaby, www.cdbaby.com/cd/plasticyellowband , while their domain has a bevy of pictures and methods of contact.
