Movement Detroit 2014 Announces Stages and Full Schedule

Movement Electronic Music Festival is excited to finally reveal the stage lineups for this year and absolutely thrilled to welcome our newest addition to the festival, the Silent Disco stage, powered by Ford and Sennheiser.

Movement Electronic Music Festival has long been the secret playground for savvy festival fans and underground music lovers from across the globe for one very outstanding reason- the music!  This is the foundation of Movement and why, after thirteen years, the festival continues to be the hero of many a dance music fan and artist.

“Fans of Movement have high expectations because we’ve conditioned them to demand it from us. We want them to want more. It’s our passion to bring Movement to life each year and to showcase the artists and people that make it great.” –Jason Huvaere, Paxahau President.

Movement has become widely recognized for their exceptional ability to perfect the art of talent curation in the festival space, allowing for that greatest of experiences, a synergic exchange between people and music. It’s not about hit-makers and hype and it’s not something you can quantify- it just is.

“I absolutely love playing Movement, it has a pulse and an energy that I can always feel. It’s something very special.”–Carl Cox

Over 115 acts will descend on Detroit this Memorial Weekend- each one bringing their brilliantly original style and energy to bear on the city. It’s going to be one crazy good party.

New to Movement this year is the addition of a brand new stage, Silent Disco, which is powered exclusively by Ford and Sennheiser. The Silent Disco stage continues the musical evolution that has become synonymous with the festival, offering up new talents that await discovery.

Both the Made in Detroit and the Underground stages will bring together icons and rising stars for what many are expecting to be history-making performances. The Made in Detroit stage is solely dedicated to local artists – both up and coming and world-renowned – and certainly features the largest concentration of Detroit talent at a globally recognized festival. The Underground stage brings full-circle every techno lovers dream, the most massive assembly of pure Techno in North America.

Moog Music will be the epicenter Detroit’s earthquakes over Memorial weekend when headliners Action Bronson, Ed Rush & Optical, Just Blaze, Baauer and DJ Snake bring the noise, and the drop, to Hart Plaza!
