The Movement Electronic Music Festival in Detroit, May 24-26, will once again offer a variety of top-notch amenities designed to enhance the festival experience even more for the thousands expected to descend upon Hart Plaza this weekend, including some tantalizing new food and beverage options.
Paxahau, producers of the festival, have again partnered up with several of the leading innovators in the hardware and software production and performance realm of electronic dance music, including several exciting new additions like Roland USA, Keith McMillen Instruments, SynthArk and Detroit Modular. They join other noteworthy brands like Allen & Heath, SubPac (presenters of the new “Listening Station” that is part of the new Silent Disco Stage, powered by Ford and Sennheiser), Novation, Reloop, IK Multimedia, Focusrite, Serato Video, Beyerdynamic and more.
Sennheiser, renowned German manufacturer of industry-leading DJ and consumer headphones, will also be showcasing their latest designs in the 2,500 square foot Technology Area, located near Movement’s Underground Stage. The area will be open each day of the festival, and is free to all festival attendees. Several Technology Area partners are also making generous donations of gear and expert instruction to help support the Music Technology program at Youthville Detroit.
Movement is also excited to announce that, for the first time, several crowd-pleasing food trucks will be onsite to serve up a host of tasty food options to festival fans. El Guapo takes fresh Mexican to the streets and turns it upside down, fusing it with all varieties of international food cuisine; Tuk Tuk serves up big Southeastern Asian flavors, including pho, pad Thai, porkball soup, curries and more; Mac Shack crafts mac n’ cheese creations and French fries with personality, while GrindHouse invites fans to try their artisanal sausages and Hungarian fried pizzas. The food trucks will join other long-time festival favorites, like internationally acclaimed Slow’s-to-Go.
The Movement Biergarten area, located along the Detroit Riverfront, adjacent to the Beatport Stage will serve up a wide selection of quality local, regional, national and international beers. The Biegarten area is a great place for attendees to hang out in-between performances and enjoy some brews from noted marques like Stella Artois, Hoegaarden, Spaten, Right Brain Brewing, Goose Island, Frankenmuth Brewing, Millking It Productions, New Belgium, Strongbow, Rochester Mills Brewing and more.
