Breck IPA is Breckenridge Brewery’s latest year-round effort, and it will provide individuals with a decent hop aroma from the second that they open a bottle. The beer pours with a light orange / orange-gold coloration and a tan to off-white head that laces itself down the glass. The flavor profile of Breck IPA is well-balanced. There is a decent (66 IBU) bitterness that is immediately discerned after the initial sip, but the presence of malt, grain, and even a bit of sweetness toward the end of the beer. Breck IPA holds up well as it warms; where the hop elements typically fall out of focus in a number of IPA offerings, the core constellation of flavors remain pretty consistent from beginning to end.
Breck IPA is eminently refreshing and is able to obfuscate the alcohol presence nicely; this beer is good for the late spring and the early summer months. Breckenridge’s latest beer would be great for sporting events, home chores, and hanging around fires – Breck IPA is dense and detailed enough to appease long-term fans of the india pale ale style while potentially bringing in other fans to the style.
Breck IPA can be purchased in six-packs; for additional information about Breckenridge’s year-round and seasonal efforts, visit their domain. For the latest in information about new products and the company’s numerous events, add Breckenridge Brewery on Facebook and Twitter.
